Yes, because we are looking for founders who dare to be great and have validated, highly scalable startup idea! Not all participants from the virtual program will be admitted to the full incubator program.
There are roughly 60 to 80 companies at Velocity at a given time. Over the past decade, Velocity programs have incubated over 300 companies in total.
No, the virtual program does not take any IP or percentage of your company. It is 100% your decision how you leverage IP or equity to grow your business.
Velocity’s science labs for deeptech product development offer a full suite of resources that will dramatically decrease the costs of developing technologies for initial market deployment. Our facilities comprise ~6000 sq ft of wet chemistry labs and BSL-2 biology space, along with flex lab space that can be reconfigured for specialized company needs. Through an alliance with Perkin-Elmer, Velocity has available numerous pieces of scientific instrumentation and shared equipment for company use.

Velocity’s workshop and assembly space is built for you to both build your electronics and hardware products and take them to customers quickly. Rapidly prototype your ideas with our Voltera V-One 3D printers. Velocity can support your design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing (at a small scale), and shipping needs. As a startup at Velocity, you have access to:
- Front desk and mailing support services. You receive full support while you incubate your startup at Velocity (it is expected that you will build your own back office and administrative team eventually).
- 16 meeting rooms and secluded enclaves.
- High speed Wi-Fi or Ethernet internet.
- Printing.
- Social events. Our Community Manager plans many cool events throughout the year to help instill a sense of community among all startups and teams.
